Email marketing is a type of direct marketing. It entails sending emails to inform someone about the product and services. It could get avoided at times, but it is not something to overlook.
There are almost 3 billion email subscribers worldwide. It raises awareness, draws customers, and generates revenue.
The appropriate approach takes care of everything. However, selecting the ideal platform is critical. It's tough to choose the perfect instrument when there are so many possibilities.
So far, I have used four email marketing tools. The first two are popular brands:
- Mailchimp
- Sendinblue
And the other two are my besties because of its simplicity in pricing and features:
1. Mail250
2. Drip
I mentioned MailChimp and Sendinblue as popular email marketing tools. What do you think? Do popular email marketing tools mean Best Email marketing tools?
The answer is probably "No". They might be popular because of the early entrants' advantage or spending too much on content/advertisement. So, it is important to do a thorough research by learning about their Pros and cons. I am explaining all of them side by side.
We are starting with popular email marketing tools
- Mailchimp:
It is the most popular email marketing tool. It has a free plan of up to 2000 contacts you can send mail in a month. Without paying any monthly fee. I'm sure you know about this tool.
This is probably due to the coolest app in the email marketing industry. But from the pricing perspective, it is not that economically if your email list size is upwards of 100k
Pricing:
Pricing divided into three parts Essential, Standard and Premium
Free Plan: 2000 Contacts + 1 audience.
Essential pricing: Rs770/month 50,000 contacts + 3 audience.
Standard pricing: 1150/month 1,00,000 contacts + 5 audience.
premium Pricing: 23000/month 2,00,000 contacts + Unlimited audiences.
Pros:
- Good for beginners, You can add 2000 different contacts and you can send 10000 emails in a month. You can use different types of features like tags, suggestions, segmentations, Behavioral tracking, Audience dashboard like all options in brief.
- It comes with their drag and drop template which comes with unique features rather than others. It also comes with custom branding, A/B testing.
- Multi-step journey, Comparative reporting, Unlimited seats are some of the features.
Cons:
- Increase in pricing as compared with other competitors.
- lack of customer support, If you are using a free account for one month then you see the Mailchimp poster below the mail as well as no option for live chat and for mail.
- If you are not sure of the quality of your list then there are high chances to bounce back your mails and email found in the spam folder, your account may suspend with no refund policy.
- For use, every advanced feature requires you to pay extra money. We are not getting the return on investment also because we are getting extra features that some of them have no use.
- If you have a new startup then you have to pay some money to buy a premium plan rather than a free one because every mail from the contact list gives an inappropriate tag of Mailchimp which looks annoying for business use.
- Mailchimp's best feature is A/B testing, Custom branding which is not available on the free plan.
2. Sendinblue
A most recognized name in Digital marketing. Basically, Sendinblue from Bluehost's most popular web-hosting company worldwide. Sendinblue also has a free plan like many companies will provide a free trial or free subscription plan.
