The Punjab Police detained BJP leader Tajinder Bagga from his Delhi home on Friday morning, based on a complaint filed by its cyber cell. During a rally on March 30, Bagga reportedly threatened Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The complainant also provided authorities with statements and video footage of Bagga.
BJP does it almost every single day
Using IT to go after Outspoken Critics, Using CBI and ED to go after Political Opponents, Filing Fake Cases to go after Persons who don't support the regime too much
Shiv Sena sent 2 Young girls to Custody merely for criticizing Traffic Arrangements during Balasahebs funeral
DMK and ADMK have unleased Political Hooligans many times on Critics. Jayalalitha once sent Goons to go after TN Seshan, the Election Commissioner back then.
INC has a history of this as do Parties in UP, Bihar, etc.
"Today morning, 50 cops from Punjab barged illegally into BJP’s Tajinder Singh Bagga’s house in Delhi and forcibly took him away. They also manhandled Bagga and punched his father who tried to stop them. This entire operation was done by Punjab police surreptitiously without informing their Delhi counterparts.
Bagga’s father registered a case of kidnapping against Punjab police and the Delhi police immediately swung into action. They called Haryana police and told them to intercept the convoy which had whisked Bagga away.
Haryana police promptly stopped the convoy in Kurukshetra and rescued Bagga. Delhi police came and took Bagga back.
The Punjab police ended up with egg on its face. Extremely embarrassing for them to be stopped by their Delhi and Haryana counterparts and treated like common criminals & kidnappers; especially since Tajinder strutted away with a huge smile on his face and flashed the victory sign.
What happens next remains to be seen. Punjab police can appeal to the courts to allow them to do custodial interrogation of Bagga. But the first round seems to have been won by him and it looks like very bad optics for Punjab police."
